This process video documents my exploration of geometry, material behaviour, and light interaction through a sculptural study. Beginning with abstract geometric thinking, I experimented with folded planes and faceted forms to understand how structure, balance, and reflection influence visual perception.
The iterative making process allowed me to test scale, edges, and surface treatment, transforming a simple star geometry into a dynamic spatial object. Starting from a radial geometric pattern, I translated a two-dimensional motif into a three-dimensional sculptural form through carving and iterative refinement.
Working directly with stone allowed me to understand precision, symmetry, depth, and shadow, while responding to the material’s resistance and limitations. This hands-on process strengthened my approach to design where concept, craft, and material logic evolve together, resulting in a form that balances structure with tactile expression.
